Halloween Madness!!!!

Halloween was so crazy. Bret had to work so it was a bit hectic taking them all over by myself. But worth all the hassle. They had so much fun on Halloween. First we went to see Grandma Morley at her house. She had made cookies for the boys to start it off. Then we went to Great Grandpa and Grandma Morleys house in Provo. The boys love to go visit them. Then we went to Grandma and Grandpa Omers house. They went trick or treating in that neighborhood a little. Bryson was so happy because he got a mini dinosaur at one house that he kept saying "baby dinosaur." We then went to Outback so that everyone could see them and pick up some appetizers. Everyone showered them with gifts and attention. We left Outback and went to our friends house Amy and Eric. We ate appetizers and the took the boys trick or treating in that neighborhood. Bryson was so funny he would hold up his bucket and say "tricktreat." I couldn't keep track of Ethan him and his friend Austin would run from house to house. Gavin and Bryson cut the night short because Gavin fell and didn't want to go anymore and I was done too.

Ethan was a robot for Halloween. The costume was one of Bret's old costumes that his mom still had. We added the dryer ducting and painted his face a little.
Gavin was Buzz Lightyear. Grandma Omer bought the costume for him at Disneyland. He loves it and wears it all the time.

Bryson was a bat. This was another old costume of Bret's. It looked so cute on him. He wanted me to pick him up and fly him like a bat all night long.

Gavin's Halloween Program

Gavin had his Halloween program at school on October 30th. He was Buzz Lightyear. He did so good. They put him right in front and center. Gavin knew all the songs. He was so funny though, he would make comments out loud when they were not singing. He saw a Indiana Jones costume and said "hey there is Indiana Jones." He saw one of our friends kids in the audience and said "Max is Iron Man." It was quite hilarious.
His best friend in his class is named Castle. He was dressed up like Anakin from Star Wars. They are so cute.

One of Gavins good friends in school is Leo. Leo was The Hulk for Halloween. It was so funny, during the program he accidently hit a kid next to him with his big Hulk hands.

Smile!

Ethan lost his first tooth on October 30th. He was playing outside in the leaves and came running in and said "I lost my tooth." He wasn't kidding he really lost his tooth. He didn't know where it went. We think that he probably swallowed it.
He was worried because he didn't have a tooth to put under his pillow for the tooth fairy. So we wrote a note to the tooth fairy and it said "Dear Toothfairy, I lost my tooth today. So if you find it please leave me a prize under my pillow." The next morning he found two dollars under his pillow. He said well I guess the tooth fairy found my tooth. He looks super cute with one tooth gone.

Fall is here!!!!

Our backyard has a large amount of trees, so inevitably our yard every fall is covered with leaves. But the boys have so much fun burying themselves in them.
It makes for super cute pictures too.

First Snow

We had our first snow for the year 2 Sundays ago. The boys were so excited. Right after breakfast Gavin said we have to go get warm clothes on so we can go outside. Sure enough a few minutes later he came out of his room all the way dressed to go out. Me and Bret were like "whose kids are these?" Bret and I were not excited about the snow at all. We stayed inside while the boys went and played for about an hour in the snow.
They through snow balls at each other, they through snow at JoJo, they played on the trampoline, made a snowman and made snow angels.
Then we looked out and caught them all eating snow. Bryson does everything that his older brothers do. Good or bad. I am glad they had fun in the snow. But I was not about to go out there.

Pumpkins Pumpkins Everywhere!

The boys went and picked out pumpkins last week. They had so much fun. The pumpkins are just in the front yard of a house. I love it because it is so low key and their pumpkins are great and reasonable. They just wanted to climb all over the pumpkins and the lady at the house was rally nice and told them that they could. I told them to pick out pumpkins that they wanted and they just kept picking out pumpkins. Of course Ethan picked out a different type of pumpkin so that one was $4.00. But lucky for us Grandma George was there so she picked up the tab. I love to decorate for Halloween because the boys love it so much.

Happy Birthday to Me!!!!

I had my 32nd Birthday Party on September 26th. I am getting old. We had all our friends over to our house. We had a Quesadilla Party. There were 4 quesadilla makers and we had all kinds of stuff to put in them. It was really fun and delicious. I had a really great birthday. I got lots of good presents from friends and family.
Ethan helped me blow out my candles. I thought the house was going to start on fire. Bret put 32 candles on the cake. 32 is just a number. I feel young and that is all that matters.

Lake Powell

We went to Lake Powell at the end of September. It was such a blast. This was the first trip that me and Bret have taken without the boys. It was so awesome. It is so low maintenance without kids.
It was perfect weather the whole time. Our days consisted of wake boarding, cliff diving and riding on the boat sight seeing. Lake Powell is absolutely gorgeous. I tried wake boarding but was not as successful as I would hoped to have been. I will try again.
Bret on the other hand wake boarded the whole time. He caught some "big air". He is really quite good at wake boarding. The water was actually pretty warm and so nice and smooth.
This is what Bret had to wear one afternoon while he was wake boarding. He lost a bet with his friends at work. This is how he had to pay up. He did it and it was hilarious. Bret actually liked wearing the bikini he said that it was liberating. Hah! I have pictures of him wearing them but decided not to expose him that way.
We loved Lake Powell and hope to go back every year.

Ethan's First Day of Kindergarten

Ethan had his first day of Kindergarten on Monday August 25th, 2008. He was so excited to go to school. He has been counting down the days since June. He goes to Valley View Elementary. His teacher is Mrs. Wagner.

On his first day me and Bret took him early and took some pictures then we took him to his class. His class is very cute he has his own cubby and a hook for his backpack. He sat down on the ABC rug and waited for his teacher to read to them. We never thought that Ethan was small until we saw all of the kids start to arrive. He is the smallest in his class. Even the girls are bigger than him. Some of the boys look like they are 8 years old. He is by far the cutest kid in class.

He had a great week at school. He has made alot of new friends. Gavin cried when Ethan went to school. It was so sad. I think that him and Bryson will become better friends.

We are so proud of Ethan and we think he will do really well in school.

Bubble Mania

So you have to sometimes just let your kids have a little fun even if it is a hassle or makes a big mess. The other night the boys went to Grandma and Grandpa Morleys house. When I went to pick them up they wanted to stay to make cookies. So I told them they could stay and I would go get their bath stuff and pajamas. When I got back the boys took a bath in Grandmas big jetted bath tub. Gavin and Bryson washed up and got out right away. Ethan stayed in and wanted the jets on. I forgot that they have soft water and we had used quite a bit of soap. After the jets came on the bubbles were out of control. Ethan could not stop laughing. There were so many bubbles. You could barely see his face out of the bubbles. Then the other boys wanted to get back in. I had already put their pj's on but I thought oh well. I took all the water out and then the other boys got in the bubble mania. They had so much fun. They threw bubbles at each other and at the wall.

Gavin had his first week back to preschool. He was so excited to go. His teacher is Miss Farrah. He is so excited because his classroom has a little potty and sink. His class is called the Sweet Peas. He thinks that he is in kindergarten like Ethan. The other day he said "Mom am I in kindergarten or preschool?" I told him "what do you think you are in?" He said I am in kindergarten preschool. I said that is right. I figured it doesn't hurt him to think this.

So I am on this new diet that is absolutely ridiculous. You are supposed to lose 9 pounds in 11 days. It is a brutal diet. Yesterday all I could eat was fruit all day. I felt so sick. Worse part of all is I have been doing the diet for 2 days and only lost 1 pound. Hah! I will keep going I guess. It stinks that you can't just eat whatever you want. Life is great with food that is delicious.

The boys start school pretty soon. They are so excited. Ethan starts kindergarten on August 25th and Gavin starts preschool on August 19th. Now only if I could find someone to take the monster Bryson for a few hours. I never thought that I would be a Mom that would get emotional when their child goes to kindergarten. But the other day I was driving by Ethans school and I felt sick like I was going to throwup. I wonder if he is nervous to go to school. He is so ready though. He already knows how to read. He is such a smarty pants. I will post pictures of the boys on their first day of school.

Soda for Sale

Hey this is my first blog so hopefully it works. I am going to try to post something at least once a week. We had a great learning experience in parenting this week with Ethan (5). Earlier this week we received a Target ad in the mail. Ethan looked at it and saw a new Star Wars leapster game. He was so excited he wanted the game so bad. He even got on the computer to see how to play it. The game was $25 and I really didn't want to spend the money on it. So I told him that he could do chores to earn the money so he could buy it. Later on that day I needed to take a shower when I got out of the shower he was in the corner talking on the phone. I asked him who he was talking to. He told me no one. So I checked my dialed calls and it said George ( his grandma). He called her and asked her to buy the leapster game. That little stinker. He called her because he knew that she would buy it for him and he wouldn't have to chores to earn money. So I called his Grandma and told her to please not buy it for him. She could give him chores to earn money instead. So on Thursday he went and picked up fallen apples in their yard for 5 cents per apple. Ethan picked up 250 apples. So he earned $12.50. Then on Friday Grandma gave him sodas and candy to sell at the park. He woke up so excited to get out and sell. It was so funny. All the boys were out at the park waving the cars down. When the people would stop Gavin (3) would say "what would you like"? Who wouldn't stop when 3 little boys are waving at you. Ethan ended up making $30. It seems like a big process to go through for a lesson about money. But I just wanted him to realize that we have to work to get the things we want in life. And I am just grateful for his Grandma for going along with the idea even though it would have been alot easier to just go buy the game. On friday night he went and purchased the game. He was so proud of himself that he earned the money to buy it. He has hardly stopped playing the game since we got it.
