Orange Orange Everywhere!

Bryson had his 3rd birthday party on December 11th. We had a Orange themed party. Orange is his favorite color. Every time he has to choose a color it is always orange.

We sent out invitations that looked like oranges. All the kids at the party took home packages with orange slinky's, orange fruit snacks, goldfish and orange pixie sticks.

They decorated oranges with candy, making them look like people. Bryson had so much fun at his party.

I made cupcakes for the party. They were a vanilla cupcake with orange flavored frosting. Then garnished with an orange slice on top. They looked and tasted so good.

He got alot of presents including fire trucks, pj's, and a nerf gun (which has been his favorite). Bryson just played and played and then after the party he got really sick. It was like he waited until his party was over. He got a really high fever and cried and cried. Poor baby.

Fire Station Turkey Day

Robyn and Mike
Jen and Oscar

Rob and Meisha Bret had to work on Thankgiving Day so we had dinner at the fire station. It was awesome. No cooking and No cleaning. The guys cooked and then they refused to let any of the wives clean up. The crew is like one big family it was nice to be together for Thanksgiving.
Ethan and Oscars daughter Riley played together the whole time. We have already arranged their marriage.
The boys always have fun at the station. Bryson especially loves to go there. He loves getting in the fire trucks. My vote is Thanksgiving at the fire station every year.

Crazy Boys!

The boys are so crazy. Ethan found out that he is the lead in his Christmas play at school. He is super excited. We have been practicing his lines with him. I think he will do great.
Gavin is so super smart. He reads so good. And we think that he is already better in Math then Ethan.

And I wonder why my walls are always dirty. They love to climb the walls.

Bryson can't really climb the wall but he tries. Bryson is so crazy about fire trucks. He has a bunch of little fire trucks that he carries everywhere. A few days ago we went to the station and rode in the new heavy rescue engine. The boys loved it. Bryson was in the back saying "EI EI EI." I guess that is what the siren says.

Ethan is like a monkey man. He can climb almost all the way to the top.

"I haven't wore this in a long time"

I just had to blog about Gavin. Every time we ask him to get dressed he picks out the same outfit. Basketball shorts and his fire t-shirt. No matter what the weather is like he wants to wear it.
So the other day I asked him to get dressed. He comes out saying "I haven't wore this in a long time." We were both just cracking up. So I had to take a picture of him in this outfit so we can remember.

Buzz Buzz!

All the boys got a haircut. They all got a buzz. I love it because I don't have to do a single thing to it. They all look so much alike now.

It was definitely an adjustment having all of Brysons hair gone. Grandma Lamb said that he even acts different. She loved his hair. I just think he looks older.

Halloween Again?

Halloween is always crazy. I feel like we already have done way to much by the time we even get to Halloween day.

We started out with Gavin and Bryson's Halloween program at school. Gavin was dressed up like Wolverine and Bryson was dressed up like a shark. They both sang so good. It was really fun to see Bryson especially because this is his first year in preschool.
Then on Friday Ethan had his party at school. Ethan was dressed up like Dracula. I painted his hair black and made up his face. He looked quite scary.

On Halloween our day started at 8am with the boys wrestling match. They did awesome. Then Grandma and Grandpa Omer took the boys to get wrestling shoes and donuts. They are spoiled.
Later on that day we went to our ward Halloween carnival and trunk or treat. It was really fun and a big success. There were cars all the way around the park. Bret decorated the back of the suburban with spider webs and orange lights. The boys had a blast going to each car. Ethan was getting mad because people were calling him a vampire instead of Dracula. Right after he said something about it we saw Shirley Stone walking at the park and she came up and said what a good dracula he was. He smiled after that.
After leaving the park we went to see Grandma and Grandpa Morley. The boys were so amped up on sugar already and Ethan wasn't feeling good.
We left there and went to G&G Omers. At that point Ethan was just really exhausted and sick. We met up with Sondra there and Gavin and Bryson went trick or treating with her. Ethan laid down.

Bryson had so much fun going to the houses. Sondra was dressed up like a hot dog. And Bryson kept yelling "I'm riding on a hot dog." Gavin found out that if he told people that his brother was sick at home they would give him more candy.
All in all it was a crazy day. We do it for the kids. Hopefully they liked it. Bryson did get in the car later on that night and yelled,"I love trick or treating." We were reminded of when Ethan was Brysons age he loved Halloween so much that every night before he went to bed he would say a prayer. He would say,"and bless us that we can go trick or treating." Every night for 6 months after Halloween.

Time Flies When Your Having Fun?

So I haven't blogged since May and it's November now. I have been just so incredibly busy with life. I think I didn't want to blog because I would have to go back and update it all. But I just decided I will just start over again. So here goes another shot at blogging. Kids say the funniest things sometimes so I thought I should share what Bryson said to me a couple of days ago. He woke up and I could hear him in his room saying "I have to go pee." So I went in to get him and he said, "Mom my peepee is going crazy, it has rocks in it." I could not stop laughing. I had to blog this so we can tell him about it later.

Sad!

We were expecting our number 4 baby, when in the beginning of May we miscarried the baby. It was really sad and hard on all of us. Ethan just bawled on his dad when we told him. Ethan said to me later in the day. "Mom it is okay, at least the baby gets to hang out with Grandpa Hank the Tank." Which made me cry even more. We went to a nursery and the boys picked out a plant for the baby. We are very lucky to have our three healthy and wonderful boys.

Update

Once again I have been slacking on the blog. So I will update everyone on the happenings.

Surprise!

On March 28th we found out that we have baby number 4 on the way. We are really excited. We are due sometime at the end of November beginning of December. The boys reacted exactly how we thought they would. Ethan was so excited he hugged me and was jumping up and down. He kept looking down at my stomach a little confused as to where the baby is. He said "I want a baby sister." Then when we told Gavin he just said "My macaroni and cheese is cold". That is so him to just completely ignore the news. Then we told Bryson we told him "you are going to be a big brother." And he said "No!!!!!!!!!!!!" He is the big baby in the family. He will have a hard time not being the baby.

Mid-Life Crisis???

Bret has decided to take up the sport of Rugby again. March 28th was his first game. It was UVU Alumni (Bret's team) against the new UVU Rugby team.
The game was awesome. I won't lie I thought for sure the young guys would roll over the alumni. But it was not the case.
Bret did so good. He had to wrap tape around his head because his ear got all bloody and scabbed over. It was really gross.

The Alumni ended up winning 17 to 15. It was amazing. The alumni came out with minimal injuries. The young guys however had quite a few injured. Bret was so sore all day and still is. But he had so much fun playing. The boys had alot of fun watching him play.

Gorillas!!!

Ethan made a diorama about monkeys for school. He did a report on Gorillas. Me and Grandma George went a little crazy with it. Ethan helped glue all the stuff on and tell us where he wanted everything.
On March 27th he had a Animal Showcase at his school. All friends and family were invited to come see all the dioramas. I think Ethans was the best.

He sat by his diorama and talked to people about it when they came by. It was fun to see him in his class interacting with everyone else.

Another Party!!!!!

March 8th we had another party for Ethan since that was his real birthday day. We just had his Grandma and Grandpa Morley over for dinner and cake.
Bryson wanted to be right next to his older brother. Ethan let him blow out some of the candles. I think he just spit on the cake.

Ice Skating Birthday!

On March 4th we had a birthday party for Ethan and Gavin at Noah's in Pleasant Grove. We rented a room and the ice skating rink for the party. It was so fun.
The boys had lots of friends and family there. Everyone tried to skate. The boys fell down alot. Bret was a really good skater.
The boys were just really happy to have all their friends there. It was great to not have the party at my house.

Bryson was so funny. He just wanted to skate the whole time. Sondra helped him to skate most of the time.

Here are my boys at the party. This is obviously before they fell down. Ethan turned 6 and Gavin 4.

100 Days of Kindergarten!

Ethan celebrated his 100 days of Kindergarten in February. For 100 Day celebration they had to decorate a newspaper hat with 100 things. With the help of his Grandma Omer he put 100 letters on his hat.

It was very cute and festive. He wore it to school. He wanted to save it. But I wouldn't let him. So we took a picture of it.

Bret is 33!

On February 26th Bret turned 33. We all went out to dinner to Carrabbas. That is his favorite Italian restaurant. It was fun and delicious. His mom and dad and our freiends Mark and Danielle came to celebrate with us.

Gavin's Birthday!

On February 8th we had family over for dinner and cake for Gavin's birthday. It was really fun. Gavin loves to hang out with his cousins especially his cousin Jammon.
He got an iron man mask from us for his birthday. He loves it. He looks hilarious with it on.

The day before his birthday we took him to his favorite ice cream place Maggie Moo's. Our friends the Oldsons came with us. All the kids got blue ice cream all over their faces.

Gavin loves Maggie Moo's as you can see.

Trip to California

In January we went to California for a little 4 day trip to go see the family. The trip down there was really crazy. It took us a long time because Gavin had the poops and Bryson who just barely turned two decided he wanted to potty train. He would not go in his diaper. We had to pull over every 15 minutes. It was insane.

The trip was really fun. We just hung out with the family. The best part is that the weather was so warm. We took the boys to the park several times when we were there. Gavin kept saying "I don't want to go back to Utah, it's too cold." I totally agree. I hate the snow. It was so nice to be warm.

We went to the park with my sister Heidi and her son Aidan. And we meet her boyfriend Clint and his daughter Amirah. It was really fun. I think we were there for like 2 hours.

We love going to California and seeing all the family. We really needed to get away from the snow and cold.
